Early the Next Day I was the first person that met the man in his office and greeted him while he was trying to sit; you are welcome Chris Sit down.
I sat down and handed over the written note of my calculations and references, after looking at it she brought out a Cheque book and a biro
wrote the exact amount for me to withdraw from his account and I thanked him and left after I had a dosage of advice from him I left for Qatar the next day and arrived in……….days, the place was like what I haven’t seen before but I comported myself to the highest level to avoid any miscarriage.
Without giving myself any journey rest I started worked the next day being…..because apart from money to fulfill the promises I made to my mum and siblings I needed more money to marry Cynthia immediately I set my eyes on her and thank God the firm grew my passion for the work more.
Ko ko ko(knock on the door) come in dear I asked kindayat our office girl as she stepped in and told me I have a call from Nigeria by the name cynthia..
I was shocked by what I heard, I heard to stop what I was writing and looked up at kindayat and asked what was the name she mentioned, and she said Cynthia again and I immediately connected through to know if it was a prank or a dream and to my surprise she was my missing rib! She really wanted to confirm if the information she got about my where about was true, and that’s why she called and I gave her my house number so we can discuss later, I was mentally offline immediately I dropped the phone and started wishing many things that concerns me and her, I started reminiscing about our days in school and others but something crossed my mind and made me calm "what if she is happily married" but I convinced myself that she can be happily married to any man that is not Chris.
I got home and reached for my house phone and held it close to me so I will miss the call, I waited for like three hours but no incoming call I decided to go and bath and change before I can come and sleep. On leaving the room the phone started ringing and I rushed and picked it and behold it was Cynthia ma long lost love, she was so happy she connected with me but I was afraid the call might be just an apology for leaving without a goodbye and how she later got married and has children but she started by apologizing by the way and told me how she traced to furakes place and later to the hotel where I worked and they told her I have left for Qatar and the manager gave her the number she contacted me with after she narrated our relationship to him. On the other hands I was not happy with her excuses of leaving without a word but is not time for blames yet or never, at least I am happy she still cared to check on me.
