Benue State Governor , Samuel Ortom has denied the allegation of
fraudulently diverting N 4 . 29 billion state funds through proxies
and associates .
Responding to the allegation through his Special Adviser on Media and
ICT, Mr Tahav Agerzua, Ortom said that the report published in some
national dailies and social media, is the oppositions' plot and
campaign to smear his name .
According to him , the withdrawals made from the Bureau for Local
Government Affairs was meant to provide logistics for internal
security in the wake of herdsmen attacks on the 23 local government
areas of the state.
He , therefore , urged the people of Benue to disregard the allegation .
