Singer, celebrities react to Dallas police shooting-John Legend

Five police officers were killed and many others injured after

two snipers opened fire during a Black Lives Matter protest

in Dallas on Thursday, July 7, 2016.

Hollywood celebrities, John Legend, Demi Lovato,

Olivia Wilde and Don Cheadle have responded to the

five police officers killing.

In a statement released by the Dallas Police Chief David

Brown, " snipers shot at 11 officers from elevated positions near

Dealey Plaza during a protest over shootings by police earlier

this week of black men in Louisiana and Minnesota ".

In addition to the five deceased officers, at least three of the

injured are in critical condition.

Celebrities however jumped on Twitter to react to the tragedy

immediately news of the sniper shootings broke.

American singer John Legend took to Twitter yesterday, July

7, 2016 writing, "These Dallas shootings are horrific. Killing

these officers is morally reprehensible and completely

counterproductive to keeping us safe. "
