The death of Eunice Elisha Olawale, a 42-year-old

mother of seven, who was murdered by some

men while doing an early morning preaching round

of her neighbourhood in the Kubwa area of Abuja,

the Federal Capital Territory, has continued to draw

sympathy and condemnation by all and sundry.

The latest to visit the home of the bereaved family was the

wife of Nigeria's Vice President, Dolapo Osinbaj o, who wept

openly with the widower, Pastor Elisha Olawale, who is a

While commiserating with the family, Mrs. Osinbajo assured

them the death of their wife and mother will never go in vain

as the police has vowed to fish out the killers » of the

woman and bring them to book.

The woman who was a Deaconess, was said to be preaching

in the early hours of Saturday, July 9, in the Bazango Pipeline

area of the satellite town in the FCT, when she was reportedly

waylaid and butchered by the hoodlums.

The FCT Commissioner of Police, Alkali Usman, has however,

announced that six suspects have been arrested in connection

with the gruesome murder of the lady.
