                           The Strength  oF DeTermination Episode 0ne

Back in days African women were not given the opportunity to give their dreams a test, it was all about Men Getting Responsible And Chartered while women are future posted to the Kitchen, getting Married and incubating,

      This culture has engulfed deep into the mentality of Our African Queens That most Of us Think Nothing More or less Than Marriage even at younger Age without achieving a single Goal which I say is a stark bad omen, if the women I see today the likes of my Mother and aunties are the kind of women they have then, then an O.M.G to the strength and intelligence they went to grave with.

I am now of Age Now and I have a lot of stories and pack of strength  I don’t want to go to my grave with, so I decided I share this little story about my aunt told to me by my grandma who made women proud by proving to the world that “the importance of a palmtree will make you love it,no matter the thorns and height”.

   Angela is a Great grand Aunt of Mine Who fought through to make a difference ,not Minding the clash with the Titans, angi was a girl with great zeal of becoming a banker, I will become a banker and also help my village in many community issue; angi fondly said.

When she was done with her secondary education she told her dad of her pursuit, but her father with the mentality of kitchen end didn’t find that funny at all because the assumption then was that girls waste enough money even to just attend the secondary school level and she was the first of four boys.

Angela wasn’t surprise her father will refuse her request because she was already determined to make her dreams realistic with or without his father’s and mother’s blessing, her father reminded her of her duties and their expectation as the first daughter and how the brothers are the ones that have the right of choosing what they will do not her, because anytime from now you will be  married off and you will fulfill your destiny when you have given birth.

she got Upset and said “Well Dad I am not ready to marry until I am a banker and help the future women by changing this inequality between the two genders, just wait and see” the dad rained curse on him for challenging his orders while reminding her of his mates daughters who their wise daughters have married while some given birth and Concluded with Okay let’s wait and see.

   Because Angela is of age and done with her secondary school at least the next thing should be marriage the villagers thought and suitors flooded her house asking for her hand in marriage while Angi kept turning down the suitors wondering who will bell the cat .
