Simone Biles Just Conquered the Vault to Win Her Third Olympic Gold
to take home gold.
Simone already won gold in the women's team all-around gymnastics final and then she
took the gold in the individual all-around finals and now! She just won her third
Olympic gold on the vault. It's one of Simone's best events, and so this win is no big surprise
to anyone, and yet. I'm still weeping with all the emotions. She's simply the best!
Rounding out the field was Russia's Maria Paseka with Silver and Switzerland's Giulia
Steingruber with Bronze, which is the first ever Olympic medal in the sport for the Swiss.
The rest of the competitors in the event were also top notch, including India's first ever
women's Olympic gymnast, Dipa Karmakar, who finished in fourth place.
