The Atlanta 1996 Olympic Gold Medal advised the current Dream Team VI not to expect great wealth by playing for the Nigerian football team.

The former captain of the Super Eagles team, Austin Jay Jay Okocha, has advised the Dream Team VI not to get their hopes high, as they cannot acquire wealth by playing for the country.
Okocha revealed this to Vanguard News during a recent visit to a camp for Internally Displaced People (IDP) in celebration of his 43rd birthday.
“You can’t get rich playing for Nigeria, you will get exposure and touch lives,”

According to the former Bolton FC player, he experienced financial transformation after making a decision to leave Nigeria for Germany during his early football career.
“The decision to take the flight to Germany took away poverty from my family."
As far as the football history in Nigeria goes, Okocha is no pushover.
He won an Olympic Gold Medal following the success of the Dream Team in the men's football competition of the 1996 Olympic games hosted in Atlanta, USA.
The football legend also made his mark on some European clubs such as Eintracht Frankfurt, PSG and most notable, Bolton Wanderers of England.
